1. Can you tell us a little more about yourself, the ups and downs you’ve faced, and how you overcame them as an artist?
Of course! My name is Sameer Baloch, I am a 3D digital artist that specializes in creating futuristic fantasy worlds. I was born and raised in a small town called Hawksbay in Karachi, Pakistan. I first fell in love with design and tech in 1998 when my father bought me my very first computer, an Intel 486. I’ve worked on many interesting projects as modeler, lighting and rendering artist. Coming from where I grew up I used designing to escape some of the troubles and struggling of the environment I grew up in, my imagination was my escape.
2. Tell us more about your design process when you create your works
My process starts with searching for different ideas and concepts. I like to spend some time getting information trying to figure out what I am going to do for my next artwork. I like to take objects or characters and place in different sci-fi worlds I create. I am using Autodesk Maya and Redshift3d for all the 3d works and Adobe Photoshop and After Effects for final post processing.
3. Where do you get inspiration that keeps you driven as an artist everyday?
In 2017 I was inspired by Mike Winkleman aka Beeple to do everyday artworks, there many other artists that have inspired me a lot but Mike was my main inspiration and still is. Fantasy, space and sci-fi movies inspire me too, sometimes the surrounding nature around me helps me a lot to motivate me to do artworks everyday.
4. What’s the most expensive NFT you’ve sold?
My most expensive NFTs Artworks sold on crypto.com/nft which sold for $40,000+ US in 24 hours.
5. What do you hope to achieve in the NFT space?
I am hoping this NFT space will change some artists’ lives and that artists’ work will be appreciated more. I am trying my best and working really hard to go deeper into the NFT space for a living all while helping other artists grow in the NFT community as well..
6. What’s next for Sameeer?
I am going to continue this journey and create my artworks as I have been doing to this day. I believe success comes from consistency and achieving small wins over and over. I’m super excited to continue in the NFT space and work to release more exciting projects that can be appreciated by millions for a long time.
