Get to know Sergi
To celebrate Sergi’s NFT drop this coming October 29, the World team took the chance to introduce Sergi more to the World community.
1. Can you tell us a little more about yourself, the ups and downs you’ve faced, and how you overcame them as an artist?
I am Sergi Tugas, graphic designer and artist from Barcelona. I have currently been in the art world for about 8 years. I have had considerable ups and downs, necessary to turn the page and climb another step, although I have never considered putting art aside. The most important thing is the constancy and perseverance in your person because it is what will make you grow constantly. Add 1 each day, no more.
2. Tell us more about your design process when you create your works
My design process is based on photography, illustration and digital manipulation. I rely on a powerful concept where I make my own photographs to be able to make the design from illustration and finish it with digital art. I think that making your own photographic material to make the work is essential since this way you can give it a much more concrete approach.
3. Where do you get inspiration that keeps you driven as an artist everyday?
I am mainly inspired by daily and social events, such as news or social criticism. I am also inspired by series, movies or imaginary stories with a clear concept.
4. What’s the most expensive NFT you’ve sold?
The most expensive that I have sold are entire collections in cryptocom for a value around 10k, although I also have works for sale in other more affordable pages.
5. What do you hope to achieve in the NFT space?
For me, the NFT space is something that I had been looking for a long time in order to place my works for possible speculation or simply so that people around the world have my works as a refuge value. I think that all this movement had to come sooner or later, since it is inevitable with the mismanagement that is being done in the world economy.
6. TellWhat’s next for Jun?
I never know what’s next for me, but I never close myself to new ideas or new ways of doing what I like. I simply enjoy every moment creating, I believe that enjoyment is the key to success and not pressuring you to get to a place, I speak specifically of the artistic world. It is something that comes out of you when you least expect it and you need to capture it.
