What’s next for World x LGCY?

Ever since our partnership announcement with LGCY Network, things have been brewing up behind the scenes. Read below to stay updated with the upcoming developments in-store for both the World Marketplace and LGCY Network.

LGCY Network support

To provide more accessibility, the World team will soon be deploying the World Marketplace contracts on the LGCY Network. This way, the World Marketplace would reap the benefits of an open-source blockchain protocol with industry-leading transaction speed and flexible utility, along with low fees.

Marketplace

$USDL will also be accepted in the World Marketplace among other currencies once the specified contracts are deployed on the LGCY Network. However, $WORLD will always be the settlement currency in the marketplace.

Adding other accepted currencies is essential for the growth of the marketplace, in the long run, giving users more options to purchase digital goods and services.

DEX listing

The $WORLD Token will also list on MyriaDex, a platform to exchange LGCY Network LRC-20 tokens. With no order book or central facilitator, LRC-20 tokens will be exchanged through liquidity pools that are defined by smart contracts.

$WORLD will list with a WORLD/USDL pair. Liquidity will initially be provided by both the World Token and LGCY Network teams.

NFT Minting

To further decrease the friction for NFT artists on the World Marketplace, direct NFT minting on the platform will be integrated. The NFT minting feature will support Ethereum (ETH), Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and LGCY Network (LGCY).
